In Development

Reframes the story of women living and raising their children in poverty from a narrative of grim statistics and helplessness to one of resilience and agency. Recovering from addiction, domestic violence and incarceration, the film’s storytellers have been trapped by seemingly intractable social pathologies. But when they are offered a chance to help other women in their own communities, their past hardships might just become an asset.
